Need to remove an old profile or switch to a brand-new page? Here is a quick guide on how to safely disconnect your social media accounts from Syllaby in just a few clicks.Β

Managing your social channels shouldn't be a headache. Whether you're rebranding your business, switching from a personal page to a professional profile, or just clearing out accounts you no longer use, keeping your workspace tidy is essential for a smooth content strategy.Β

Disconnecting an account gives you complete control over where your AI-generated videos go. When you unlink a channel, Syllaby instantly stops scheduling or posting to that specific profile, leaving the rest of your connected platforms completely untouched. It is a completely safe process, and you can always reconnect the same account or link a new one whenever you're ready to start sharing content again.

The Steps

  1. Log in to your Syllaby account.

  2. Go to the Sidebar on the left side of the Dashboard and click on Accounts.

  3. Find the specific social media account you want to remove.

  4. Click on the Trash Icon next to that account.

  5. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm that you want to disconnect your social media account from the platform.

  6. Click on Yes, Disconnect to finish.

Syllaby Pro-Tip

If you're disconnecting an account just to switch to a different page on the same platform (like moving to a new Facebook or Instagram business page), log into the correct profile on that specific social media website in your browser before you start. This stops your browser from automatically logging you back into the old account by mistake when you try to reconnect!Β

Quick Fix

The account is still showing up after I clicked disconnect!Β

If you click Yes, Disconnect and the profile doesn't disappear right away, don't worry. This is usually just a temporary display delay. Simply refresh your browser tab, or log out of Syllaby and log back in. Your dashboard will update to show the clean slate.
