What Happens When Credits Run Out?

Think of credits as the fuel for your Syllaby engine.
If you run out mid-month, don't worry—you can still access your existing work and get back to creating in just a few clicks.
What Happens When You Run Out?
Syllaby uses a "pay-per-action" system. This means certain high-power AI features need credits to run.
If your balance hits zero, a few of our features will take a quick break:
Finding New Ideas: You won't be able to run new keyword searches or trend analyses.
Writing Scripts: AI script and outline generation will be paused.
Creating Videos: Faceless, Text to Scene, and Storyboard video creation will be locked.
Final Touches: Creating thumbnails and generating new images will be restricted.
What Can You Still Do?
Good news—you aren’t locked out of your account!
You can still do plenty of work while you wait for your next credit drop:
Review Your History: You can still see all your past keyword searches and trend results without spending a thing.
Manage Existing Projects: You can view, edit, and download any scripts or videos you’ve already created.
Plan Your Calendar: Our scheduling tools stay open so you can keep organizing your content strategy.
How to Get Back in the Game
Credits reset at the start of every billing cycle. Just keep in mind that they don't roll over to the next month, so make sure to use them up!
If you’re in the middle of a project and can’t wait for the reset, you have three easy options:
Upgrade Your Plan: Move to a higher tier (like moving from Basic to Standard) through your dashboard for an immediate credit boost.
Buy a Top-Up: Purchase a credit bundle if you just need a small boost without changing your monthly subscription.
Go Annual: Switching to an annual plan gives you a much larger lump sum of credits up front (and saves you some cash).
Quick Cost Breakdown
To help you manage your balance like a pro, here is what the main actions cost:
Discovery Search: 15 Credits
Scripting: 1 Credit per minute
Faceless Video: 13 Credits per minute
Text to Scene: 20 credits per second
Thumbnails: 1 Credit for every 3 images
Syllaby Pro-Tip
Check your credit balance at the start of every week!
This helps you decide when to do deep keyword research (15 credits) and when to focus on editing, so you never get stuck mid-project.
Quick Fix
"I can't click the 'Generate Script' button!"
If a button is grayed out or won't click, it’s usually because your credit balance is at zero. Since scripting costs 1 credit per minute, you'll need at least one credit to start.
